Design Engineer – Hertfordshire - UK
DESIGN ENGINEER - ELECTRICAL/ MECHANICAL SPECIALIST VEHICLE SOLUTIONS HERTFORDSHIRE. We are seeking a Design Engineer - Electrical/ Mechanical to join a small engineering design company and to be involved in providing specialist vehicle solutions from their offices on the Hertfordshire As Design Engineer, your role will be to design vehicle systems and components, using 3D solid works and vesis. You must be able to produce manufacturing drawings and exploded views, predominately for sheet metal, electrical harnesses and plastic components. To succeed as Design Engineer, you will be qualified to HNC/HND or degree level in an electrical, mechanical, manufacturing or an automotive engineering field and must be able to produce electrical schematics and have an excellent knowledge of vehicle architectures and CANBUS. You should also be fully conversant with 3D CAD ideally Solid works. Previous experience within a manufacturing industry is essential, as the role involves liaison with suppliers to ensure components are at the right cost and quality. You will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of FMEA and quality processes and must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office software, with an enthusiastic and flexible approach. You will be joining a small engineering design company who providing specialist vehicle solutions and who are based in a lovely quiet rural location.
Age not more than 32 years
Contract period 18 months renewable
This position would close by Dec 2010
