RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The purpose of this position is to maintain, execute, and document projection models in AXIS, TAS, and Excel software that support statutory asset adequacy analysis, gross premium valuations, and planning/budgeting.
- Current duties also include converting and building new models in AXIS software.
- Knowledge of supplemental health product behaviour is vital additional life or annuity knowledge is a plus.
- Maintain, execute, and document gross premium valuation and cash flow testing processes for annual statutory asset adequacy analysis.
- Maintain, execute, and document gross premium valuation processes for DAC Recoverability testing, Loss Recognition testing, and Goodwill Impairment testing.
- Maintain, execute, and document annual planning/budgeting processes.
- Perform the initial review and analysis of own results.
- Use knowledge of how supplemental health products behave over time to analyze and communicate projection results.
- Convert models from either Excel or TAS software to AXIS software.
- Build new models in AXIS software.
- Effectively communicate results and implications of results.
- Work well and communicate effectively as part of a team.


QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors Degree.
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
- 3-5 Exams, possibly ASA.
- Be inquisitive, take initiative, and solve problems.
- Familiar with AXIS, TAS, or other modeling/projection software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access.
- Familiar with statutory asset adequacy analysis regulations and practices.
- Familiar with GAAP regulations and practices as related to modeling.
- Additionally having life and annuity product knowledge is a plus.
- Supplemental health product knowledge.
