RESPONSIBILITIES

- Duties consist of work in many different areas within the life insurance consulting field such as valuation policy liabilities, audit of life insurance clients, pricing, financial statement analysis, solvency analysis, asset/liability projections, external reviews and experience studies.
- Opportunities to travel to work with Company staff in US are available but not a job requirement.
- The position reports to the Partner, Life Insurance located in Canada.



QUALIFICATIONS:

- FCIA with 3-5 years post qualification.
- Experience with life & health insurance and annuity products.
- Canadian GAAP financial reporting knowledge.
- A strong understanding of the life insurance industry.
- Excellent English business writing skills.
- Expertise with AXIS with Datalink and Excel.
- Knowledge of derivatives, capital market instruments and quantitative financial analytics would be helpful.
- Knowledge of US GAAP reserving and financial reporting would also be an asset.
- An added plus would be bilingual skills in English / French.
- The candidate will be expected to work under strict timelines with an attention to detail and must have the ability to work independently.
- We expect our staff to have excellent interpersonal skills, superior problem solving capability, high technical competence and a desire to be an expert in their field.
