Sanjeev 1979 Ltd Merchandiser Associate Internships

Sanjeev 1979 is a family business founded 20 years ago in Manchester, England. The company is a supplier to many of the UK’s high street fashion brands including New Look, Primark, Select and others. The company has offices in Manchester and London and now employs 50 people. We are looking for graduates to work in Quality Control and Merchandising.

We have 2 Merchandiser Assistant internship opportunities in our business.

Responsibilities

Managing client orders from issue date to delivery, including:
• Work with the Quality Controllers once a sample is received
• Source and order the labels for the garments
• Raise dockets and orders
• Ensuring product delivery requirements are met
• Liaising with clients and manufacturers to ensure delivery schedules and times are met

Because of the changing nature of our business you will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.

Requirements

• A Bachelors or Masters degree textile design or fashion related studies
• An interest and/or experience in the fashion/garment industry would be preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence others.
• Good organisation and administrative skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• Experience and the ability to manage a number of projects at once.
• Fluent reading, written and spoken English
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and project ensuring delivery and overcoming challenges and setbacks.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
