RESPONSIBILITIES

- Actuarial work including data generation and analysis, basic modeling, creating tables and exhibits for actuarial memoranda, and computing reserves.
- Compiles and categorizes data for experience analyses and prepares related reports.
- Prepares schedules of statistics, financial statements, premiums, reserves and benefits, documentation and verification of factors used in related computations.
- Receives direction and instructions on all assignments.
- Learns company operations, systems, and actuarial methods.


QUALIFICATIONS:

- This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and credit for one Society of Actuaries exam.
- Major in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business/Accounting, or Computer Science preferable.
- Mathematics knowledge including calculus, statistics, probability, introductory knowledge of actuarial mathematics.
- Analytical problem solving skills.
- Basic computer skills such as Excel, Access, and Word with limited knowledge of actuarial software.
- Basic business sense of finance, accounting, and economics.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
