Opening for Development Manager in an UK based Company, Chennai

A Leading UK based Software Testing Company in Chennai is looking for a "Development Manager" with minimum 7 years of experience in Software industry.

Job Description
• Candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in leading product development teams.
• Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration from definition phase through implementation.
• Reviews work of development team.
• Creates and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Owns the development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project.
• Communicates and enforces coding standards and performs code reviews and the mentor developers.
• Gives the significant knowledge of client/server and Internet systems architectures and make other understands the browser / client specific compatibility issues.
• Holds regular status meetings with development team and resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
• Review and signoff the design documents
• Manages the development of team by ensuring that project tasks are in line
• Conducts effective performance evaluations and mentors developers and senior developers through formal and informal channels
• Performed size/effort estimation, resources planning, resource allocation, utilization, team building, motivation and work schedule
• Responsible for creating and presenting the progress and status reports to the client and the senior management
• Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
• Review the daily timesheet and the WBS.
• Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
