Opening for Web Designer – Min. 1 year in a France Based Company in Chennai

A fantastic opportunity is available for a skilled and experienced Web site Developer/designer who wants to join a rapidly growing and innovative company and work in a challenging yet highly rewarding role based.

This exciting opportunity will suit an experienced Designer who has a minimum of 1 years experience in developing e-commerce websites using PHP, XHTML and CSS. You will also have a sound operating knowledge of coding best Practices and SEO. The ability to create professional web graphics in Photoshop or Fireworks as well as knowledge of client-side technologies such as JavaScript and AJAX would also be beneficial.

You will enjoy taking ownership of your own web projects and driving them forward. You will be a good communicator, self-motivated, well organized and capable of prioritizing your own workload. The role is varied and self managed but will involve maintaining existing sites, redesigning and building new sites. The role will involve email marketing and all aspects of the company’s marketing mix including SEO and advertisement work.

The role also encompasses some print work, such as catalogues, posters, promotional material so it’s essential that you have a good eye for design and are passionate about the quality of your work.

This position's duties include helping to conceptualize, plan, design and produce compelling interfaces for complex Websites, E-commerce, Rich Internet Applications and other interactive projects, while working closely with other designers to brainstorm and bring ideas to life.

Must be able to:

 Conceptualize, plan and present design composites
 Manage and continue to develop core design concepts
 Improve and perfect usability
 Plan, estimate and meet design production deadlines

Essential Skills:

 CSS (hand written/non-WYSIWYG produced)
 HTML/XHTML (hand written/non-WYSIWYG produced)
 Photoshop
 Understanding of differences in various Web browsers and platforms
 Understanding of and ability to adapt to constantly-changing trends on the Web
 Experience (professional or not) in usability and interaction design (UI and UX design)

Bonus Skills:

 Experience with brand, identity and style guidelines
 Illustrator
 Flash
 Flex and AS3
 QA, testing experience
