Development Lead - Network Management

Competencies will include the following:
· Knowledge of NMS - SNMP, MIB
· EMS (Element Management Systems) Development – FCAPS
· Java
· Software Engineering – Design, Development methodologies using UML
· Ability to work effectively across locations both onsite and off-shore

Desirable Skills will include the following:
· UML Tools – Telelogic Tau, ObjectTeam, Rational etc
· CDMA Infrastructure Knowledge, Understanding of wireless BSC/BTS
· Operations and Maintenance Knowledge
· AdventNet
· Valid US Visa

Key Responsibilities of a Lead Engineer:

· Proficient Understanding of the technical direction in the project start to lead the team on from a technical front.
· Work with the Tech Specialist and Architect to gain a comprehensive understanding of the feasibility and requirements for any customer request.
· Be a team player when and work with team members on technical issues.
· Provide status updates and report to the Tech Specialist.
· Proficiency in quality processes to be implemented in the project.
· Knowledge sharing and Mentoring.
· Interface with the customers along with the Tech Specialist for gathering requirements, work on feasibility study, Low and High Level Design.
· Work with the Tech Specialist in identifying technical areas of growth for the team/project.
· Use technical proficiency and knowledge to participate in the evaluation of new equipment / tools / processes and makes recommendations for purchase.
· Good Understanding of the Technology issues, involved in the Product and the Product Line.
· Participate in presenting white papers on technical aspects in various forums.
· Work with Tech Specialist in bringing the Best Practices of the other project groups in the team.
· Good Understanding of the Intellectual Property rights that exist in the organization.
· Exhibit clear understanding of Technology Roadmap for the project on domain and software technologies.
· Contribute in the Technology discussions with the client for understanding the requirements in feature requests / ER and PRR requests with the customer.
· Help the other team members in overcoming technical hurdles faced in solving an MR / Feature / ER / PRR.
· Work with the Tech Specialist and Architect for understanding the technology roadmap at existing at the Organizational level.
