Job Purpose:

Acts as a professional Discipline Learning and Development Resource to all Juniors Employees in that Discipline during their development to Independent Status. Supports Line Management in their roles and responsibilities to coach and develop Junior’s in the work-place. Verifies and ensures Discipline-specific technical standards of CAMS training development are being meet, competence gaps identified and eliminated, and manages Professional Discipline Knowledge Network within ADMA-OPCO.

Establishes and maintains a network of Professional Subject Matter Experts in order to optimize and promote continuous learning for higher performance.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Acts as a Professional Discipline Mentor to all Junior’s in the assigned discipline and their Line Managers with a focus on motivating, counseling and supporting them in their learning and competency development roles and responsibilities. Includes providing off-job coaching and training events to Junior’s up to Independent status.

• Supports and helps the line management in their on-job coaching responsibilities through preparation of learning materials, advice and recommendations based on the requirements of CAMS Discipline Development Framework and Training Roadmaps.

• Oversees the Juniors Off-Job Training Plan for Discipline to ensure the training is delivered at the right stage for the junior’s development and meets the standards of the CAMS Development Framework. Evaluates such training and recommends changes where necessary.

• Contributes to the identification of High Potential cases and accelerates development for talent pipeline and provide resolution for cases of poor performance, redirection, disciplinary action of Junior’s in Professional Discipline.

• Follows up with Line Managers to ensure the CAMS Frameworks and Training Road maps for Discipline are applied in accordance with agreed CAMS Policy, practice and standards and individual Development Plans and activities for the Junior are delivered and meet company’s needs.

• Ensures effective follow-up of Discipline Juniors from point of entry to final integration and independent status and the tracking of their areas of improvement and devices programmes of remedial action and gap elimination accordingly in conjunction with Line Managers.

• Assumes responsibility for maintaining specific Discipline Knowledge Network within the company for the benefit of knowledge-sharing and development of professionals within that Discipline. Communicates and shares information and developments with other OPCO networks and ADNOC Skill Pool Adviser for that discipline.

• Assists in Discipline-specific Junior Development assignments and attachments within the company and externally with 3rd parties, other OPCO’S/Shareholders.

• Maintains a systematic reporting on all Professional Discipline Junior employee development performance and progress up to achievement of independent status.

• Reviews and proposes amendments to the contents of the assigned CAMS Framework and Guidelines as required.

Minimum Requirement:

• Degree in a relevant professional discipline which is a core of the company’s business.

• 7 – 8 years professional experience acquired through a successful career in the operational upstream Oil Industry.

• Proven skills and a motivation to train mentor and develop others in professional discipline.

• Experience in Competency Assurance and HRD Development Methods and Practices.

• Good command of spoken and written English.
