QUANITY Surveyor - Maldives

The clients are large CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
in Maldives.
They require QUANTITY SURVEYOR
The candidates must be Diploma Holders with atleast 4 years of experience in similar trade.
Should do qs work. Should do estimating and costing. Should prepare bill of materials. Should do preparation of project schedule. Should be able to do Auto CAD drawing preaparations. Should be computer literate. Should be able to comunnicate fluently in both written and spoken english.
$ 700/- 800/-
Contract 2 years renewable
The air ticket of the workers should be born by the candidate. Neither the employer nor the employment agency in Maldives will give the air ticket. However under the agreement made between the employer and the employee, the employer will provide air ticket after completion of the contract.
The employer arranges the accommodation of the employee. The accommodation is usually arranged depending on the position of the employee. For professional categories, single or shared accommodation is provided. For skilled / lower categories dormitory accommodation in labour quarters are provided.
The employer also arranges food for the employee. Food is either arranged in hotels, premises and in some cases employee is given a fixed food allowance. This varies in different companies. In general all employees will be provided with good food in either case suitable for the nationality wise.
None of the companies in Maldives would wish to employ vegetarians. The reason is that Maldives imports most of its vegetables and hence, vegetables are quite expensive. Due to this vegetarians are not accepted for jobs in the Maldives
It is the responsibility of the employer to provide medical care to the employees. Medical care is only given to ordinary medical problems. Medical care will not cover for any ailments present before joining for work. However, any loss or damage to health incurred from incidents that occurred while performing the job is fully covered under medical care
Service Charge:
Pl note that it is a practice in Maldives that the Employer does not pay the consultant and hence against work permits the candidate has to pay a service fee of $500 to $1000/- depending on the cadre/designation selected.
