General Manager (Profit Centre Head)

A large group in Middle East is looking to recruit a dynamic & proactive, target driven achiever to head newly formed construction company (a part of large group operating in GCC) in UAE/Oman as General Manager. He will be responsible for all operational, strategic and commercial decisions within the day to day running of the business and will report directly to the CEO/MD. He will be expected to lead the company through the start up phase to the period of sustainable growth and manage the recruitment of several senior appointments to sustain the pace. The candidate should have a Proven techno commercial acumen backed by a civil engineering background. He should possess more than 15 years of experience in handling all aspects of running a contracting company in GCC as a profit centre head. The candidate must have good client contacts and hands on experience in tendering, negotiation and getting the business besides good execution skills. Some UAE experience is a must, he should have handled projects worth minimum AED 50-100 Million, IT savvy with excellent communication, management, planning & problem solving skills; a leader par excellence with the ability to lead from the front Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage
