Country Manager
Designation: Country Manager – Metals / Agro / Auto / FMCG
Reporting to: Regional Manager
Function: Trading in Metals/ Agro Products, Auto, & FMCG Products
Location: African Countries – Angola, Cameroon, Conakry, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Sudan
Qualifications: Technical Graduate / MBA
Experience: 8 -14 years
Principle Responsibilities:
1. Should handle Branch/Country as Profit centre head.
2. Should be well versed with operational aspects.
3. Development of the business in volume terms and expansion of Business- Product line wise.
4. Should manage Funds and Inventory levels effectively.
5. Procurement Vs. Overheads ratios to be maintained as per Corporate Norms.
6. Anticipate impact of decisions and plan how to manage risk.
7. Accountable for Pre & Post-shipment activities including, Documentation, Logistics, Insurance, Freight Management, Banking Activities etc.
8. Managing Sales Promotion activities, trade shows and exhibitions for brand building.
9. Exploring and monitoring market trends and identify fresh business opportunities while developing new as well as existent markets and alternate sales channels for higher levels of sales and revenues
Knowledge, Skills & Requirements:
1. Effective leadership qualities.
2. Set Budgets and Cost Controls.
3. Should have domain knowledge of Metals/ Agro/Auto/FMCG.
4. Manage profitable Price levels subject to TP/SP.
5. Should have excellent PR skills with Associates/ Government Authorities/ Banks/ Institutions/ Liners.
6. Experience in African countries is a must.
7. Understand International Trends, analyze the competition and assist in planning overall strategies to set targets and achieve results
8. Implement, monitor and responsible for credit policies, controls and Account receivables with regards to trading partners.
9. Formulating and implementing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for total Export / Import Activities and standard business operations
