Position details:
The successful candidate will work closely with Deloitte Research economists, industry research directors, and consultants in the U.S. to develop thought leadership outputs targeted to senior executives. The outputs will include in-depth research reports, survey reports, industry trend reports, power point presentations. Among your responsibilities would be to:
• Identify, analyze, and summarize existing industry research, academic work, industry practices and trends, related to pre-defined topic in the manufacturing/supply chain/ operations.
• Gather market and business information creatively using internal and external research sources such as print, electronic and telephone interviews.
• Structure, organize and synthesize information to develop key insights.
• Gather financial and operational data from proprietary databases or other original data sources.
• Conduct in-depth, complex data analysis to form or support the hypotheses.
• Support survey development and execute surveys electronically, via telephone to collect data. Analyze the survey data to support the hypotheses.
• Write short case studies and viewpoints.
• Assist research leads in report writing and presentation development.
• Online briefing to the clients.
• Collaborate with team members on strategy and project management.

Qualifications/Work experience
• Bachelor's degree with MBA in Operations/Manufacturing/Supply Chain Management or Master's in Operations/ Industrial Engineering/ Industrial economics from top tier schools.
• Phd from US institutions in Operations/Manufacturing/Supply Chain Management will also be considered.
• Strong academic performance.
• 2-5 years working experience. Strong track record with previous employment, preferably business research experience with management consulting, financial research, operations research or KPO companies.
• Candidate must demonstrate good understanding of the concepts in manufacturing, operations, and supply chain management.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Good statistics and data analysis skills preferably experience in Excel/SPSS.
• Ability to present data analysis in intuitive graphical and tabular formats for senior executives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of econometric tools will be an advantage.
• Self-motivated, desire to assume leadership role and strong team player.
