RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for the delivery of all actuarial aspects of the functional support provided by Actuarial Services for allocated clients.
- This includes delivery of actuarial services to both internal clients and external clients, in terms of client specific business management initiatives, actuarial control cycle management and company best practice.
- Directly contribute to the formulation and implementation of business plans for Actuarial Services in relation to specific client business initiatives.
- Interface with clients around particular propositions e.g. quotes, operational support, treaty negotiations etc working in conjunction with the Client Manager.
- To build and maintain networks with other internal departments, clients and other professional bodies in order to develop and manage the business, service client needs and meet profitability requirements.
- Working directly with the Client Manager and our operational teams of the designated group of clients, takes the actuarial services responsibility for a wide range of both internal and client related issues.


QUALIFICATIONS:

- Qualified Actuary or degree in actuarial science, mathematics or related field. Non-actuarial candidates also considered.
- Must have good local insurance contacts in order to sell services and products.
- The ability to convert difficult concepts into neat solutions and subsequently implement practical and value-added initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Setting priorities, agreeing and meeting deadlines and managing expectations.
- Producing high quality written material.
