RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Co-ordinate and complete actuarial analysis according to agreed timelines.
- Define deliverables relating to these areas of focus.
- Develop and implement standard group actuarial analysis models, documentation and processes relating to these areas of focus.
- Develop and manage processes that facilitate the integration of actuarial analysis and recommendations into the running of the business.
- Develop and maintain a centralized knowledge repository relating to these areas of focus.
- Provide high level, strategic input on key actuarial, underwriting, financial planning, risk management and strategic initiatives by reviewing analysis completed within the Personal Lines group and by conducting independent analysis as appropriate.
- Collaborate with other areas within Personal Lines to develop and implement best practices, standards and guidelines.
- Ensure models and spreadsheets underlying the reviews, modeling and analysis are in compliance with corporate policy.
- Identify and introduce improvements into existing processes.
- Ensure identified issues and acted upon and the associated systems and key processes are revised where appropriate.
- Continuously monitor, summarize and report on progress relating to these responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics or related field.
- Completion of at least 4 CAS exams is desired.
- Strong skills in MS Excel and Access. Knowledge of SAS is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of problem solving capability.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented work ethic.
