RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Job Reports to AVP Actuarial.
- The purpose of this role is to facilitate US GAAP reporting to the promoters of the company.
- Timeliness and accuracy of results produced.
- Adequacy of process documentation and process improvements.


QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proficiency in excel required knowledge of actuarial software e.g. Prophet will be an advantage.
- Min 2 year’s actuarial experience out of which at least 1 year USGAAP actuarial reporting experience.
- US GAAP reporting.
- IFRS reporting.
- The successful candidate will be able to explain the appropriate US GAAP principles and apply them in calculating them for calculating insurance reserves for conventional and unit linked policies, deferred acquisition costs DAC and DIR, supportability of DAC calculations, unlocking calculations and shadow adjustments.
- Familiarity with SOX requirements in relation to this work would also be expected
