RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Price US property and casualty reinsurance contracts.
- Portfolio management and risk reporting to Senior Management.
- Participate in discussions on capital allocation with the ERM and Catastrophe Modeling departments.
- Assist with the preparation of business plans and assumptions for the internal capital model.
- Assist in the reserving process.
- Play a key role in the development of the actuarial team as it grows, including assistance in the training and development of actuarial students.


QUALIFICATIONS:

- Completion of a Qualified Actuary designation FCAS or equivalent.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years of experience in US casualty pricing.
- Ability to communicate statistical and actuarial output to Underwriters.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Access.
- Ability to work well independently or with others, particularly in a small team.
- Highly motivated individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic, commitment to meeting deadlines and willingness to work overtime, on weekends and/or holidays as required.
