RESPONSIBILITIES

- This position is responsible for leading the International business initiatives in maximizing the useable business intelligence available from new and existing transactions in both Latin American and Asia Pacific markets.
- The position supports the integrity of the pricing process through the provision of timely, accurate and detailed experience analysis on the business units new business product lines, and to support the new business acquisition process by the provision of relevant research to clients.
- A further objective is to support the financial reporting process by ensuring emerging trends on business experience are reliably integrated into the financial results.
- Development of enhanced reporting functionality for emerging product lines ESP health business in Asia.
- Moving from ad-hoc investigations to a routine schedule. Ensuring a progressive improvement in the scope and depth of analysis.
- Responsible for negotiating scope definition, production of analysis and ensuring analysis is useful to internal clients for all product lines arising within the International business.
- Subject matter expert in business analysis including actuarial methodology IBNR, application of credibility theory, and experience analysis methodology.
- Detailed working knowledge of the impact of IT and operational work processes on the resulting quality and availability of data for business analysis.
- Development of in-house expertise in anticipating and measuring the impact of segmentation strategies for direct marketing campaigns using statistical analysis techniques.
- Other duties as required for the position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- FSA designation from Society of Actuaries or foreign equivalent designation.
- 3+ year experience in pricing insurance-related businesses.
- Strong technical skills.
- Demonstrated track record in learning new technical skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Experience with AXIS or other pricing software.
- Experience with database management and data analysis software tools.
- Experience with project management.
- Reinsurance knowledge - 3+ years reinsurance experience highly desirable.
