International Operations Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Receive, analyze, and reconcile periodic data from client companies. This includes assessing the completeness of the data and the existence of key data fields.
- Develop a cooperative relationship with regions and assigned client companies to ensure that data is received in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process International client statements that include premiums, commissions, claims, solicitation expenses, and experience refunds into administration system to operating standards in accordance with applicable client treaties.
- Monitor and manage suspense items to ensure they are cleared in accordance with established procedures and processes.
- Be accountable for clearing suspense items related to assigned companies.
- Process retro-cessions according to applicable Excess pool treaties.
- Generate Quota Share and Excess client billings in accordance with applicable treaties.
- Participate in special projects, including system development and testing and report development.
- Work with the international regional offices to provide value added service to diverse clients in Asia and Latin America.
- Participate in ongoing process improvement efforts - identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency.
- Identify data reporting problems and work with NBA, Actuarial and the regional offices to resolve issues and improve accuracy and completeness of statements and data received from clients.
- Resolve complex business issues and problems through research and interaction with the client and internal departments.
- Interact with International Actuarial and Finance, Business Development and other areas of the division to ensure that accounts are being properly set up and administered.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating systems TRIAD, RIAS, GEAC, etc.
- Other duties as required for the position.


QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors degree in Business or Accounting or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Three or more years of experience working in a customer service oriented environment demonstrating exceptional customer orientation.
- Ability to manage a varied customer base and plan accordingly to meet service objectives.
- Demonstrated analytical skills must be extremely detail oriented and effective in production-oriented environment.
- Working knowledge of administration processing and data entry.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational, follow-up and follow-through skills.
- Demonstrated team work skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Ability to handle several priorities while maintaining utmost professionalism.
- Highly motivated self-starter with initiative, drive and results orientation.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment, including Access, Word and Excel.
- Regular attendance is a minimum requirement of this role.
- Available to work overtime as needed.
- Insurance and/or reinsurance experience including working with life, accident & health and/or annuity products.
- FLMI or ARA designation or successful completion of exams.
- Foreign language skills i.e., Mandarin, Korean, Japanese.
