Senior Instrument/Electrical Designer

Qualifications: Ideal candidates shall be qualified to HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years experience producing design deliverables:- SLD, cable transits, cable sizing, cable schedule, motor lists, load studies, specifications for lighting, distribution boards, earthing, cable tray & rack, push button control stations, trace heating etc. for facilities related to the Oil & Gas, Refinery and/or Petrochemical Industries. The candidate should possess an up-to-date knowledge of Industry and International Codes and Standards. This is a senior position and you must be used to working in a multidiscipline project team environment. Must be capable of demonstrating experience with AutoCAD.

Job Description: The candidate must be capable of working on his/her own initiative, setting own work schedule to meet project planning requirements. Main responsibilities include the design of cable racking, preparation of power and earthing layouts, preparation of lighting layouts, lighting calculations, cable, junction box, trace heating, transit schedules, preparation of material take-offs, preparation of specifications for bulk materials, preparation of schematic and interconnection diagrams, preparation of block diagrams and preparation of standard details.
